Kate is an associate therapist with the practice, with experience of working with individuals and families in health and social care, community and hospital settings.
Kate specialises in treating emotional and mental health difficulties such as anxiety and depression, stress, trauma and relationship problems. She can offer individually tailored, compassion-focused therapy that can help our clients to better understand the difficulties they are facing, and to come up with ways to overcome them.
She is qualified and experienced in a range of psychological models that aim to help aid understanding, promote recognition of patterns of coping and relating, and offer alternatives to the sometimes unhelpful ways in which we try to cope with difficulties, challenges and struggles.
These accreditations include certificates in Cognitive Analytic Therapy (ACAT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR and Mindfulness. Kate is fully insured and possesses an up to date adult and children DBS certificate.
