The team at JSA operate on the policy of returning contact within 24 hours with anyone who approaches us on a private/ self-referral basis. At busy times, this may simply be an email or voicemail message to state that we’ll be in touch a little later in the week, but in the majority of cases, our contact will be direct, through which we can actively discuss the basis of the referral with the person in question.
After the first conversation takes place, our team work with the information given to assess which of our therapists is best placed to take on the referral. As a team of specialists, we pride ourselves on not only matching our clients to the most appropriate programme of therapy, but also matching them to the most appropriate therapist.
We are a close group at JSA, and we take many positives from the fact that all of our staff are based within the same office, meaning that referrals are not merely passed from department to department. This aspect negates the need for the client to repeat or go over any information more than once with a new member of staff should their referral need to be passed on to a different therapist for any reason. We manage everything internally between ourselves, ensuring that confidentiality is key throughout our work, and that data is protected respectfully and compliantly.
Once the therapist has been allocated to a referral, we speak again with our client to discuss a start date for the therapy to commence. We don’t like waiting lists, but on rare occasions, the need for these can occur. In the majority of cases, however, we seek to build on our growing reputation for exceeding expectations and can often meet with the client as early as the following week.
Our clients can choose to attend any of our north-west based locations in Burnley, Manchester or Liverpool for their therapy sessions. All of our locations are easily accessible by public transport and have plenty of parking space for anyone driving directly there, as we like our clients to arrive at their sessions with minimal stresses from their journey. We tend to stick to a standard working day for our operational hours, but we can arrange evening or weekend appointments by special request.
