Adult Psychotherapist
Rachel brings a broad range of skills and experience to bear in the assessment and treatment of adult clients, adolescents and families.
She specialises in the field of trauma, utilising her training in the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing models. These specialties have served Rachel well in her work for the Manchester Resilience Hub following the Arena bombing. She is also a retained psychotherapist for the MS Society and possesses a special interest in working with chronic ill health/pain and disability.
Rachel has supplemented her private practive over the last 9 years of her career with work for the NHS, where she has held the roles of mental health practitioner, primary care counsellor and counselling team leader. In her last NHS post, she worked for 4 years in a retained capacity for Merseycare NHS Foundation Trust as a psychological trauma specialist and trainer in mental health and mindfulness within the Health & Wellbeing service.
In addition to being a psychotherapist, Rachel also provides mindfulness, coaching and L&D to organisations in the professional services, financial, charity, education and care sectors nationwide.
